A few things first-time installers ask

Do I have to sign up before I can try a recipe? Yes — the app authenticates with our API to dispatch the fetch + transcription jobs. The first 3 imports don't cost anything and don't ask for a card.

Will it work without a home agent? Yes — the cloud-fetch path (Mode C) handles TikTok + YouTube Shorts out of the box, and Instagram via the same path with rate limits we manage. The home agent makes Instagram more reliable + earns the 30% discount.

Where does my data live? On your phone, in a local SQLite database. Read the full privacy policy if you want the long version.
